Initial Consultation: The initial consultation is done
through a combination of phone and email. It is a starting point for building
the athlete/coach relationship. The purpose is to start to develop the
understanding on both parts - it is for me to understand you as an athlete,
your ability, your aims and ambitions, your strengths and weaknesses and
for you to understand me as a coach and what I can provide for you. After
the initial consultation I will provide you with an overview for the year
giving an outline of the training phases. Based on the annual overview I will
provide you with a training plan on a weekly or biweekly basis, whichever
works best for you. Training plans are personal and are designed specifically
for you, to suit your lifestyle and your needs with training based on
heart rate zones or perceived effort. You will need to send me regular
feedback and I am always available via email or skype to answer any questions
and give training advice. Nutrition Services What you eat is as important to
performance as your training, after all its what you use to fuel your
body. I can now offer a diet analysis service. Send me your food intake
for a day, or a whole week, and I will analyse it, and provide you with
a report detailing a full breakdown of your diet composition. The report
will provide details of the total calories and carbohydrate/protein/fat
content of your diet, as well as an analysis of the micro nutrients, the
vitamins and minerals. It will identify any areas where you are falling
below the recommended intake and what the potential problems of this deficiency
might be, as well as recommendations on what foods to eat to boost your
intake.
